Recro Gainsville expands its tableting capacity with the addition of a tablet press and film coater.

Recro Gainesville, LLC, wholly-owned subsidiary of Recro Pharma, Inc., announced on May 24, 2017 the expansion of its capabilities with the addition of a tablet manufacturing suite and growing its development team.

The company’s new suite includes a Fette FE 55 tablet press, which will enable the company to compress single- and bi-layer tablets at commercial speeds, and a Bohle BTC-100 film coater.

“As long-term leaders in the development of extended release technology, we pride ourselves in meeting our clients’ exact standards,” said Scott Rizzo, general manager, in a press release. “By expanding our equipment line and adding nearly a dozen more scientists to our team, we are able to offer yet more services to meet our clients’ needs.”

Recro offers formulation, reformulation, analytical method development, manufacturing and packaging, and logistics services and can take delayed release, sustained release, or combination release products from development to commercialization.
