At ACHEMA 2022, Huber Kältemaschinenbau will be showcasing high-precision temperature control solutions for the process industry.

The product presentation will focus on the Unistat process circulators. Unistats are well suited for applications in chemical process technology – they control smallest quantities as well as production volumes at temperatures ranging from -125 °C to +425 °C. As the only system on the market, Unistats allow continuous scale-up in research, kilo lab, miniplant, pilot plant and production. For this purpose, more than 60 series models with cooling capacities up to 130 kW are available. The booth will feature a selection of the most popular Unistat models, combined with reactor systems from various manufacturers.

The optionally available OPC-UA E-grade, which makes Unistats ready for Industry 4.0, will be another focus of the exhibition. The E-grade can be retrofitted at any time and allows integration into industrial processes and system environments using the OPC UA protocol.

Chiller Technology Used for Laboratory Distillations

Ultra-compact, easy to handle, and versatile – the new Piccolo chiller convinces entirely with state-of-the-art thermoelectric Peltier technology. This technology enables accurate and rapid heating or cooling, entirely without refrigerant, which is a clear benefit for the environment. Furthermore this model is maintenance-free.

With working temperatures of 4 to 70 °C and cooling capacities up to 280 W at 20 °C, the new Piccolo model is extremely versatile, for example in analysis, quality control, research laboratory, and material tests.

Thanks to modern fan technology, the Piccolo chiller is extremely quiet in operation and hardly requires any floor space. The device impresses with small dimensions, but also with low weight and intuitive operation via the new OLÉ controller. Equipped with OLED display, USB, and RS232 interface, the Piccolo is also capable of demanding tasks.

Temperature control for reactor applications

	With the new Chili, Huber presents a compact, low volume, hydraulically sealed heating thermostat for use with closed temperature control circuits. Part of the Unistat product family, the Chili is the smallest heating thermostat in the Huber range and is appropriate for use with Marlotherm as a heat transfer fluid. The device has a working temperature range of 65 to 300 °C and achieves a temperature stability of +/-0.02 K. Measuring just 240 x 427 x 393 mm (W x D x H), only a small space for installation is required. It is small enough to be a direct replacement for existing “open-bath” heaters. Due to its technical characteristics and competitive pricing, the Chili is ideally suited for e.g. distillation tasks in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and botanical extraction. The hydraulically sealed temperature control circuit prevents the formation of oil vapours and oxidation. This results in an increased lifespan of the heat transfer fluid adding further value. An external cooling coil (unregulated) is available as an optional accessory.

	The Chili guarantees high-precision, reproducible thermoregulation results with reduced heating times and wide temperature ranges. Efficient energy management minimises operating costs and economic operation.
