Spoonbox is now available in a 13-mL format for dosing products in liquid form and micro-granules.
Stiplastics, a company specializing in the design and development of innovative injected plastic-based medical devices, has unveiled a new 13-mL Spoonbox dosing spoon at CPhI Worldwide 2015. According to Stiplastics, the new dosing spoon was developed in response to pharmaceutical laboratories requesting a device that has greater capacity than that of the 8-mL and 9-mL versions.
The Spoonbox product offers an alternative to the pipette in terms of economics, hygiene, and ergonomics. Quality and reliability are attributes of the product, says the company, along with the decorative options, which include pad-printing, to bring an element of fun to the task of taking medication, particularly where children are concerned.
Stiplastics has carried out validation work, which means that Spoonbox can also be used to measure micro-granules. Laboratory Lucane Pharma, for example, has chosen it for a micro-granule product designed to treat a rare disease.
