Spectrum Pharmacy Products celebrated the one-year anniversary of its compounding education center, Spectrum Pharmacy Institute, which offers compounding training for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
On May 23, 2018, Spectrum Pharmacy Products, a manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceutical compounding chemicals, equipment, and supplies, announced the one-year anniversary of its compounding education center, Spectrum Pharmacy Institute (SPI).
SPI offers hands-on, accredited compounding training for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. The 42,000-square-foot facility is equipped with the latest classroom technology and fully-functional laboratories. Spectrum launched the Spectrum Pharmacy Institute in spring 2017 in New Brunswick, NJ.
According to Spectrum, the live, hands-on, accredited courses at SPI have doubled, including:
SPI teaches approximately 30 live courses per year and offers classes with continuing education credits in southern California. The center has also added online education courses covering several dozen topics in compounding training, according to Spectrum.
All SPI courses are accredited by the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University or the American College of Apothecaries.
