The instrument features a disposable flow tube suited for single-use processes. The biocompatible and gamma sterilizable flow tube features a single barb fitting that meets biopharmaceutical requirements for adaptation to single-use systems. The tube’s full-bore construction is designed for minimal hold-up volume without obstruction, and the single barb fitting is suitable for braided and non-braided hoses. The tubes are gamma sterilizable at 25–40 kGy irradiation.
The flow meter provides a completely stable, direct, and accurate volumetric flow measurement unaffected by fluid properties such as color or density. The transmitter and flow tube are factory calibrated and do not require in-situ calibration. Two different flow tubes sizes can be accommodated to handle two different flow ranges by exchanging the tube without having to recalibrate.
