The Rosemount 550PT Pressure Transmitter from Emerson is designed for single-use bioprocessing applications to enhance processes while preserving product integrity.
Installed with a disposable Rosemount 551 Single-Use Process Connector, the device integrates a flexible isolating diaphragm that provides a sterile barrier that keeps the pressure instrument’s sensor separate from the process media, eliminating contamination risks and making the device reusable.
The device is compact for single-use applications and comes equipped with a transmitter that generates a standard 4-20mA signal output. The pressure sensor offers +/- 0.15 psi accuracy, and after being clamped to the process connector, the transmitter can be zeroed in place for batch-to-batch repeatability and long-term stability.
The device also comes equipped with a sensor and matching process connector combination, which can be included in several applications and can withstand 75 psi with the instrument installed and 7.5 psi without an instrument installed.
