Five months after PCI acquired Biotec International Services , PCI has completed a complete rebranding of the UK-based Biotec.

In September 2014, PCI announced that it had acquired Biotec Services International, a clinical trial supply services specializing in cold-chain management headquartered in Bridgend, Wales, UK. On Feb. 9, 2015, PCI announced that Biotec Services was completely rebranded as part of the PCI group.

Biotec brings PCI a variety of services including manufacturing, packaging, and labeling, consultancy services, global distribution, returned drug management, global logistics planning, as well as a wide range of temperature storage management from controlled ambient to -196 °C. Biotec recently announced that it expanded its facilities in Bridgend to include more clinical-trial packaging and distribution services as well as increased cold-chain capabilities to support a wider range of medicines from +25 °C to -196 °C.

“The rebranding of Biotec demonstrates to the global pharmaceutical community that by joining the PCI group, we are able to offer a significantly increased global capacity to deliver a worldwide offering to our clients across a wider range of services, while staying true to our core values of expertise, customer service, efficiency, and flexibility,” said Dr. Fiona Withey, managing director, UK Clinical Services, PCI, in a press release.
