The acquisition expands Micromeritics’ portfolio of products and solutions.

Micromeritics Instrument Corporation, a manufacturer of premium products for advanced material characterization, announced on June 18, 2018, the acquisition of Freeman Technology. Located in Tewkesbury, United Kingdom, Freeman Technology provides instruments for measuring powder flow properties and other behavioral properties of powders. The instruments deliver data to assist in process and product understanding, accelerating formulation development and commercialization as well as supporting the optimization of powder processes.

“We are excited to welcome Freeman Technology to the Micromeritics family”, Preston Hendrix, president of Micromeritics, said in a press statement, noting that the acquisition expands Micromeritics’ portfolio of products and solutions. 

Managing director of Freeman Technology, Tim Freeman, added, “We are excited about becoming a Micromeritics company, as they have penetration in complementary segments, global market coverage and the infrastructure to help us accelerate the growth we have established in our business since 2000.”
