Lubrizol Introduces Topical Film
The Transform hydrate-able film from Lubrizol LifeSciences is compatible with a range of APIs.
Lubrizol LifeSciences announced the introduction of Transform, a topical film that offers wide API compatibility and simplified loading techniques, at the 2015 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) conference Oct. 25-29 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.
In a statement, the company reports that the addition of Particle Sciences and the acquisition of Vesta enables Lubrizol to leverage its core polymer chemistry into tailored solutions for novel implantable products and dermal drug delivery systems.
The Transform hydrate-able topical film make loading APIs for drug delivery fast and easy, the company reports, potentially eliminating additional raw materials and processing steps of lamination and multiple components.
The company reports that Transform is a cool, comfortable, transparent film for optimal aesthetics and patient relief, providing patient comfort.
