InformEx, North America's business partnering event for buyers and sellers of high-value chemistry, has launched the 30th edition of its annual conference at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The conference continues through Jan. 24, featuring on-site education sessions and daily networking events geared toward helping attendees grow their business and prepare for the changing marketplace.
More than 3,500 attendees from top pharmaceutical, fine chemical and specialty chemical companies are taking part in the conference. On-floor education sessions allow attendees to learn about key topics such as green chemistry, opportunities in pharma, personalized medicine, compliance, 3-D printing and more.
Kicking off the conference sessions on Jan. 22 will be a special presentation by Dr. Donna Nelson, University of Oklahoma organic chemistry professor who was a scientific consultant for the Emmy-winning series "Breaking Bad" since its second season. Dr. Nelson will share stories of how she turned her chemistry knowledge into plot-enhancing details for what has been one of the most successful shows of the last decade.
