The new software lets users choose the volume and cell concentration from initial cell preparation through transduction to final resuspension, without compromising cell viability and virus stability.
GE Healthcare Life Sciences announced the launch of its SpinOculation C-Pro Protocol Software for cell therapy workflow on Dec. 2, 2019.
The new software is part of the Sepax C-Pro Cell Processing System and, when used with the Sepax C-Pro instrument and CT-60.1 single-use kit, lets users choose the volume and cell concentration from initial cell preparation through transduction to final resuspension, without compromising cell viability and virus stability, according to a company press release. The software also closes and automates the cell transduction step, reduces manipulations, and adjusts open system parameters.
“Cell-therapy manufacturing is complex and requires advanced technologies,” said Catarina Flyborg, general manager, Cell and Gene Therapy, GE Healthcare Life Sciences, in the press release. “GE Healthcare Life Sciences continues to invest and develop the digital solutions needed to advance cell and gene therapies. The SpinOculation C-Pro software application automates and simplifies a critical step in the cell therapy workflow and helps accelerate the development of next generation therapeutics.”
The SpinOculation C-Pro Protocol Software is now available worldwide.
