Exosomes (DASbox): AppNote 440 - The DASbox® Mini Bioreactor System as a Tool for Process Development and Stem-Cell Derived Exosome Production in Standardized Culture Conditions
Exosomes are the small extracellular vesicles, secreted by different cells of the body and considered important in cell-to-cell communication. Specifically stem cell-derived exosomes are now of great interest as cell-free therapeutic tools. However, to explore their use, large amounts of high-quality exosomes are required. Therefore, cell culture in the controlled environment offered by stirred-tank bioreactors can facilitate the standardized expansion of viable cells and enhance the reproducible production of extracellular vesicles. In this study, we tested the suitability of BioBLU® 0.3c Single-Use Bioreactors, controlled by a DASbox® Mini Bioreactor System, in the production of exosomes secreted by human adipose-derived stem cells.

AAV (SciVario): AppNote 450 - Adeno-associated Virus Production in Suspension Cell Culture Using the SciVario twin Bioprocess Controller
Cell culture-produced adeno-associated viral vectors have gained momentum as one of the most effective gene & protein delivery tools in vaccine production as well as gene therapy. In this application note, we demonstrated the feasibility of an efficient and scalable adeno-associated virus (AAV) production platform based on suspension cell culture. To achieve high yield AAV capsid production, we utilized a BioBLU 1c Single-Use Bioreactor controlled by the SciVario twin Bioreactor Control System, reaching a robust AAV titer of around 1012 capsids/mL.

T cells (DASbox): AppNote 453 - Optimizing CD4+ T Cells Long-term Expansion Process in the DASbox® Mini Bioreactor System: Impact of the Dissolved Oxygen
T cells play a central role in the adaptive immune response. They are an essential tool of adoptive cell therapy for the treatment of chronic viral infections and malignant diseases. However, the development of cell-based therapy products generally requires the production of a large quantity of high-quality viable T cells in a controlled environment. Stirred-tank bioreactors can offer a suitable environment for the culture of T cells, along with a high process control capability. In this study, we tested the suitability of BioBLU® 0.3c Single-Use Bioreactors controlled by a DASbox Mini Bioreactor System in the long-term expansion of CD4+ T cells.
