Software manages complex batch processes
Invensys Operations Management has released a new version of its Wonderware InBatch software that can be used to manage complex batch processes and is integrated with the company's ArchestrA System Platform software to provide a unified information environment across a complete manufacturing process. By making batch-management data available to users and systems throughout the plant, the software increases operational effectiveness, helps eliminate islands of automation, and enables better levels of business optimization in real time. InBatch 2012 R2 software provides new recipe-version history and comparison functionality based on XML documents. The software is control-system independent and consistent with the ISA-88 standard on batch control. Its capabilities include recipe management, batch execution management, equipment history, material genealogy, stringent security, and Web-based reporting.

Scientific innovation lifecycle management software manages large datasets
Accelrys Enterprise Platform 9.0 is an open, scientifically aware platform capable of managing "big data" and externalized research-collaboration networks. The platform offers enhancements in security, administration, and scientific services, which give organizations new tools for streamlining the lab-to-commercialization value chain and driving innovation in new product development. New capabilities allow for flexible administration and Internet deployments of clients outside of an organization's firewall with enhanced security, which enables secure and efficient interaction with external partners. The platform also offers broad scientific collections that are capable of handling structured and unstructured data, biological sequences, chemical structures, images, and text. The platform's reporting capabilities enable end-users to interpret and interact with data to drive more informed decision-making.
