CPhI Pharma Award 2018 Finalists Revealed

The finalists for the 2018 CPhI Pharma Awards have been announced. This year’s awards attracted more than 250 entries from 174 companies across 17 categories.

Winners for each category will be revealed at the CPhI Pharma Awards Gala, taking place on Oct. 9, 2018 at the Eurostars Madrid Tower Hotel in Madrid, Spain, with more than 350 guests in attendance.

According to a Sept. 25, 2018 press release, 139 entries have been shortlisted because of large number of entries received. Innovations across flow chemistry, single-use technologies, drug delivery devices, contract services, and packaging were amongst many shortlisted.

CPhI reports that the packaging and contract services categories remain amongst the most competitive, as well as the pharma company of the year and CEO of the year categories, with more than 45,000 senior executives and 2500 companies expected to attend this year’s CPhI Worldwide.

“Pharma has had an extremely strong 12 months across all parts of the industry and this has been backed up at the Pharma Awards, where the breadth and quality is larger than in any previous edition,” said Tara Dougal, head of content at UBM, organizer of CPhI, in the release.
