CPhI success

CMPi is celebrating the success of the recent CPhI Worldwide, ICSE and P-MEC events in Paris, which took place in early October. The events' attendance reached record levels of over 22000 — a 5% rise on the 2005 shows in Madrid, with a focus on the planned 'next generation' developments for the world's leading pharma services. Altogether, CPhI, ICSE and P-MEC hosted over 1750 exhibitors, with ICSE and P-MEC posting notable growth over last year, both in terms of visitors and exhibitors.

CMPi used the event to launch its 'next generation' developments, under a freshened identity and a new 'where intelligence gathers' strapline. 2007 is to see the introduction of a new CphI Worldwide online website, with the intention of making CPhI a valuable daily resource for the pharma services community. CMPi's chemical and pharma ingredients group director, Kate Chambers, commented, "Taking CPhI digital is a logical next step for an event that's already an integral element of business life in the sector it serves."CMPi plans a substantial investment to launch the online package for CPhI Worldwide, ICSE and P-MEC ahead of the Milan show in 2007, with detailed announcements to follow in the next few months.
