Cherwell Laboratories, an environmental monitoring and process validation solutions supplier based in the United Kingdom, will unveil the new ImpactAir ISO-90 Monitoring Platform, a modular system made to integrate into isolators or restricted access barrier systems (RABS), using an external controller and remotely located air mover, according to an Oct. 29, 2019 press release.
The new model can be constructed in almost any orientation using standard or custom-made connections, according to the release. It comes equipped with a chamber for 90-mm agar plates and a slit-to-agar sampling method for efficient results. Additionally, the low D50 value and long sampling period makes the device suitable for continuous monitoring.
“We are really excited about the latest developments from Pinpoint and feel the ImpactAir ISO-90 will address a key requirement within pharma EM [environmental monitoring],” said Andy Whittard, managing director at Cherwell, in the press release. “That is to achieve higher sample volume within grade A environments and minimize risk in these critical zones. Further developments to the ISO-90 range promise to make installation within existing facilities easy.”
The company will present the new platform at Pharmig’s 27th Annual Conference from Nov. 13–14 at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel in the United Kingdom.
