Catalent Releases a Corporate Responsibility Report for Fiscal 2019

On April 14, 2020, Catalent published its first Corporate Responsibility (CR) Reportfor the fiscal year 2019.

According to a company press release, the report outlines the company’s approaches to product quality, safety, environmental sustainability, and diversity and inclusion. Specific points mentioned include Catalent’s global accreditation under ISO 14001 and the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series 18001, the establishment of a goal to reduce its carbon emissions by 15 percent by 2023 by investing in energy efficiency and renewable energy, the company’s introduction of additional volunteer programs, and its commitment to fostering a more inclusive workplace by signing a CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge.

“Responsible business practices reflect our deep commitment to our mission and values,” said John Chiminski, Catalent’s chair and CEO, in the press release. “This report communicates our CR priorities and progress at an enterprise level, demonstrating Catalent’s ongoing commitment to long-term value-creation and sustainability by investing in people, the environment, and our communities.”
