Drug substance

Drug substance capabilities include development, scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing as well as specialist technologies such as biocatalysis, continuous flow, controlled substances, solid state science, and the manufacture and handling of potent and highly potent APIs.

Services range from investigational new drug (IND) support, pre-clinical to Phase III clinical trials development, and technology transfer for commercial supply between sites to offer the greatest efficiency and convenience for customers.

Drug product

The drug product business has expertise in formulation and development of conventional dosage forms including oral solids, semi-solids and liquids, as well as specialist dosage forms such as modified-release, fixed-dose combination, pediatric medicines, bi-layer tablets, stick packs, topicals, controlled substances, and sterile and non-sterile ointments.

Cambrex’s drug product manufacturing sites can also provide solid-state science and pre-formulation development, in addition to packaging solutions.

Analytical services

Cambrex offers standalone analytical services, including method development and validation, compendial and release testing, stability storage and testing, material characterization, impurity isolation and identification, fate and purge studies, microbiology testing, and cleanroom services.
