Event Overview:

The goal of this webinar is to provide clarity on what the upcoming computer software assurance (CSA) guidance means for life sciences companies and what they can do to start preparing. Leading experts from Biogen, Vertex, Alkermes and Verista will share their advice and best practices to ensure a successful rollout.

CSA is a framework designed to help manufacturers achieve Computer System Validation (CSV) and provide clarity on the methodology used to determine what is high risk and what is not, thereby minimizing misinterpretation by manufacturers. The clarification in the CSA approach flips the paradigm to focus on critical thinking (risk-based), assurance needs, testing activities, and documentation, in that order.

Key Learning Objectives:

In this webinar, expert panelist will share their experiences and best practices on how their organizations are approaching CSA. In particular, you’ll learn how to:

  • Shift focus from being compliance oriented to adopting innovation and quality best practices
  • Leverage software suppliers existing activities (perform supplier audits)
  • Focus more on testing the intended use and business process versus documentation
  • Train stakeholders on the intended use of your computer system(s)
  • Conduct testing activities commensurate with the determined risk level
  • Review and update your current policies to align with the CSA approach

Who Should Attend:

Heads, Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers, Engineers, Specialists in Validation, Quality, Quality Assurance, Computer Systems, Computer Systems Validation
