Katalyst D2D from ACD/Labs enables the design, planning, execution, and analysis of high throughput (HT) experiments. The web-based application was introduced at Pittcon 2019 in Philadelphia, PA.

ACD/Labs, an informatics company that provides analytical and chemical knowledge management solutions for R&D, has developed the Katalyst D2D, a new web-based application for high throughput (HT) experimentation.

Katalyst D2D offers a single interface for HT experimentation and parallel synthesis, from experimental design to final decisions. The company reports that the interface supports the digitization of laboratory tasks, integration with existing informatics systems, lab automation hardware, analytical instrumentation, and automated execution.

The app’s digital environment eliminates the manual transcription currently necessary between systems, as well as the process of gathering and interpreting associated analytical data. This function helps promote data integrity in HT experimentation for reaction optimization, process development, catalyst screening, and scale-up. By streamlining HT workflows, organizations are able to optimize laboratory efficiency, the analysis of array-based chemistry, and the return on investment in HT robotic equipment, according to the company.

Other features include:

  • Multi-technique, vendor-agnostic HT analysis enabled by the ACD/Spectrus Platform. Katalyst D2D integrates with analytical instrumentation to support the execution of experiments, followed by the processing and analysis of HT data. Users can easily compare chromatograms, mass spectra, and other analytical data.

  • A fully web-based client that meets the informatics requirements of the modern laboratory through convenient user access, facile deployment, and IT support.

The application was showcased for the first time at booth 2116 at Pittcon 2019, Philadelphia, PA, March 17–21, 2019.
