Industry veteran Mark Kontny joins board of directors at Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing.
The Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing (GRAM) announced on Nov. 10 2015 that industry veteran Mark Kontny was elected as a member of the the board of directors.
Most recently, Kontny served as president, Pharmaceutical Development Services and chief scientific officer for Patheon. Previously, he served as divisional vice president for Abbott Laboratories, responsible for divisional staffs in Illinois, Massachusetts, Germany, and Singapore. Earlier in his career, Mark spent 10 years at Boehringer Ingelheim, working with the pre-formulation, formulation, and manufacturing of different dosage forms. He became senior director at Pfizer and helped develop small molecules and biologics in both solid-dose and parenteral forms. He worked with a biotech start-up, prior to joining Abbott.
