Customizable Software Tracks Metrology Requirements

Transcat's Cost, Control, and Compliance (C3) software platform is designed to improve asset tracking and process management for metrology instrumentation.

Transcat, a national provider of accredited calibration and compliance services, launched its Cost, Control, and Compliance (C3) software platform designed to improve asset tracking and process management for metrology instrumentation. C3 is a customizable, web-based system-of-record tool that is designed to meet the needs of highly regulated manufacturing environments.  C3 meets all FDA validation requirements and is validated to 21 CFR Part 11 and 21 CFR 820.75 requirements through a custom-developed MVC 5 platform.

C3 enables clients to pull calibration records as needed for regulatory reviews and allows clients to track out-of-tolerance data to identify trends and areas of risk. The new software includes an updated interface and is now hierarchy-based to allow data to be structured according to the client's needs. The data can be consolidated, for example, to allow the client to quickly identify areas of concern. In larger companies, C3 helps optimize equipment to reduce asset redundancy. The software’s design allows for a single system-of-record platform that can track metrology requirements for instruments managed by Transcat and internally to reduce redundancy in systems used for managing metrology requirements.
