Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group Acquires Aflex Hose

WMFTG acquired Aflex Hose adding polytetrafluoroethylene-lined flexible hoses to its fluid path product portfolio.

On Dec. 1, 2016 Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) announced that it has acquired Aflex Hose Limited and its subsidiary Aflex Hose USA through its parent company Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, for £61.4 million (approximately $77.65 USD). Aflex is based in Halifax, England and has a sales/assembly operation in PA. The company specializes in the design and manufacture of polytetrafluoroethylene-lined flexible hoses for the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical process industries.  Aflex adds to WMFTG’s fluid path product portfolio and joins a range of products including Watson-Marlow pumps, Watson-Marlow tubing, Flexicon filling systems, BioPure single-use tubing connector systems, Asepco aseptic valves, FlowSmart seals and gaskets, Alitea OEM Pumps, MasoSine process pumps, and Bredel hose pumps.
