Later this year, the US Pharmacopeia will release for public comment a new USP <231> Heavy Metals general chapter, containing revised limits and proposed tests for the “Big 4” elements-lead, cadmium, inorganic arsenic, and methyl mercury, as well as for other heavy metals.
