The center will offer expertise in fill-finish optimization and analytical testing.
In September 2020, Stevanato Group, which specializes in glass containers and drug delivery systems, will open a Technology Excellence Center in Boston.
The new site will offer full-service capabilities to companies in “the cradle of biotech,” explained Paolo Patri, Stevanato’s chief technology officer, in a press release issued on June 2 2020. Initially, the center will focus on materials science, chemistry, and engineering. Its experts will perform many value-added analytical tests that focus on characterizing container closures as well as developing and optimizing fill-finish operations, Patri said.
In the next phase of the new site’s rollout, Stevanato will add customized solutions dedicated to product development and the functional testing of primary containers and drug delivery devices, Patri said. He noted that the new center has been designed so that its services can be easily integrated within local customers’ product development teams and value chains.
