VAI is pleased to announce the addition of the SMA MicroParticle ICS line of non-viable particle counters to our contamination control portfolio. The SMA MicroParticle ICS instruments are used for continuous or periodic monitoring of particle counts in cleanrooms and critical environments. The units utilize the latest innovation in particle counting technology and have several features not found in other Particle Counters.

• Multi-Processing – allows the instrument to simultaneously process, perform tasks, and log data without interrupting sampling

• Real-Time Meter – displays the number of particles counted per second, per channel, which assists users in locating sources of contamination

• Annotations – allows users add note fields to any data record while the instrument is sampling

• Advanced Power Management – units have advanced power management features, including the industry’s first sleep mode, and over 10 hours of battery life

• Sampling – instrument’s system can store up to 45,000 comprehensive data records for each sample

• Reporting – allows the user to print out reports that comply with ISO 14644-1, EU GMP Annex 1, and Federal Standard 209E

The SMA MicroParticle ICS is available in three models: a HandHeld, a Table Top, and a Wall Mounted model. Remote models are also available for integration into facility monitoring systems.
