The new device protects children from accidentally taking painkillers, antidepressants, or medical cannabis with a new opening mechanism.
Sanner, a pharmaceutical plastics and packaging company based in Germany, announced it will showcase its new child-resistant tablet container, the CR TabTec, for the first time at CPhI Worldwide on Nov. 5–7 in Frankfurt, Germany.
The new device protects children from accidentally taking painkillers, antidepressants, or medical cannabis with a new opening mechanism, according to an Oct. 7, 2019 press release. The container tested positively in a July 2019 consumer test, with many participants praising the hygienic tablet removal, easy reseal, and size of the device.
"The patented Press & Flip closure is designed to prevent children from opening the container. However, it is still easy to handle for adults, who simply need to press and lift the cap simultaneously," said Ursula Hahn, head of Product Management at Sanner, in the press release. "The desiccant integrated into the bottom of the container shortens the filling process for moisture-sensitive products, as there is no need to add capsules and sachets All necessary information can be printed on the label. The latter can be applied in various ways and equipped with an optional tamper-proof protection.”
The company will present the new device at Booth 111G10 at CPhI Wordlwide.
