Rx-360 Symposium Focuses on Supplier Audits and Supply Chain Security

Meeting increasing expectations and escalating regulatory requirements to protect patients.

Rx‐360, an international, nonprofit supply-chain consortium, will be holding a symposium “Supplier Audits and Supply Chain Security: Meeting Increasing Expectations and Escalating Regulatory Requirements” on Wednesday, 29 October 2014 in Cologne, Germany at the Hyatt Regency Cologne (Kӧln).

This forum, which brings together innovator and generic drug companies, big and small, will provide European pharmaceutical manufacturers and their suppliers the opportunity to hear from regulators about their expectations for the industry as well as Rx‐360’s latest initiatives to help the industry meet these requirements globally.

Key regulatory authorities who will be sharing their perspectives include Vivian Leung, MHRA, Dr Rainer Gnibl, Upper Franconia, and EMA. Presentations will review important new offerings to help companies meet expectations, with topics covering:

  • Digital age—protecting patients from falsified medicines

  • Trends in supply-chain security—cargo theft prevention, upstream supply chain, and good distribution practice in Africa

  • Expansion of Rx‐360’s audits and shared audit program, user‐friendly database, and new collaboration with BSI

  • Expansion of Rx‐360 geographic coverage to Asia (China and India) and Africa.
