Romaco Siebler, a Germany-based process and packaging equipment supplier, and Huhtamaki, a food packaging company headquartered in Finland, announced they will be presenting Push Packs, the first recyclable strip packaging for pharmaceutical solids, at CPhI Worldwide on Nov. 5–7 in Frankfurt, Germany.
According to an Oct. 15, 2019 press release, the new packaging solution is made from recyclable polyolefin laminate which allows it to be recycled back into the material loop. The Push Packs are designed by processing the foil into four-side sealed strips with a push-through function using Romaco’s heat-sealing technology.
Additionally, Push Packs are thinner, lighter, and 60% cheaper than traditional blister packs.
The companies will be showcasing the Push Packs at Booth 111B53 at the event.
