Quotient Clinical Expands Pharmaceutical Sciences Capabilities
The company has doubled its pharmaceutical sciences capacity through the acquisition of a second GMP manufacturing facility and the construction of new formulation development and pharmaceutical analysis laboratories.
Quotient Clinical announced that it has doubled its pharmaceutical sciences capacity through the acquisition of a second GMP manufacturing facility and the construction of new formulation development and pharmaceutical analysis laboratories.
The new laboratories, which are based within the Quotient’s existing Nottingham facility and have a footprint of approximately 8,000 square feet, were built to support increasing demand for the company’s formulation development services.
The new GMP manufacturing facility is located in the MediCity innovation hub in Nottingham, and has a footprint of 3,000 square feet. It comprises eight multipurpose suites, offering the opportunity to manufacture drug products on a large scale, with all the necessary containment controls to enable safe handling of high-potency molecules. The facility is scheduled to become operational later in 2015 following an MHRA inspection.
