On Sept. 14, 2016, Qualicaps announced that it will be debuting its multi-dosage weight checker at CPhI Worldwide, which is being held October 4–6, 2016 in Barcelona. The weight checker has the ability to weigh tablets, softgels, and capsules. The multi-dose weight inspection machine can weigh multiple products by adopting a suction and transfer method. The weight checker requires fewer change parts, reducing time and costs. The machine can weigh tablets and capsules with lengths up to 22 mm with a processing speed of up to 100,000 units per hour. The company will be debuting its new technology at booth 2H6 during the show.
