Event Overview:

Rubber components play a vital role in the primary packaging of pharmaceuticals, offering excellent sealing capabilities. However, there has been growing concern about the presence of undesirable impurities like nitrosamines in rubber materials. This webinar aims to shed light on the significant advances made in the chemical cleanliness of rubber components over the past few decades. Industry experts will also provide insights into the extractables that can be expected from both older and more modern rubber formulations and will demonstrate how selecting the right compound and utilizing readily available extractables data can streamline the E&L (Extractables and Leachables) testing process.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the advances of modern rubber formulations and the impact on pharmaceutical packaging
  • Gain insight into common challenges with extractables and leachables in pharmaceutical packaging and how to mitigate its occurrence
  • Recognize ways to use extractables data to streamline the E&L testing process

Who Should Attend:

  • Quality/regulatory personnel in parenteral drug delivery
  • Formulation scientists and packaging engineers
  • Device development engineers and managers
  • Technical functions surrounding drug delivery systems
  • Extractable and leachable experts
  • Procurement professionals
