Nemera has acquired a healthcare focused design and innovation consulting firm in Chicago, IL, Insight Product Development, strengthening its presence in North America.

Drug delivery device specialist, Nemera, has acquired a healthcare focused design and innovation consulting firm in Chicago, IL, Insight Product Development, strengthening its presence in North America.

In an Aug. 8, 2019 press release, the company announced that the latest acquisition will complement its existing design centre, located in La Verpillière in France. Additionally, Insight’s base, which is close to Nemera’s manufacturing facility (Buffalo Grove, IL), will strengthen the development footprint of the company in North America and will improve its proximity to the US customer base.

“Insight’s expertise of understanding patient needs and translating that into impactful product designs aligns perfectly with our purpose to ‘put patients first’,” said Marc Hämel, Nemera’s CEO, in the press release. “This acquisition strengthens our engagement to take patients’ needs into account at every stage of product development cycle and to guarantee the best match with their needs.”
