The company announced that it will be relaunching its customer collaboration centers.
On July 18, 2016, MilliporeSigma announced that it will be relaunching its global network of customer collaboration centers, providing customers with a shared exploratory environment with scientists and engineers, assisting in accelerating the development of new therapies.
These new centers, called M Labs, will include a simulated manufacturing environment that provides customers a setting that fosters education and process development support. According to the company, in the M Labs customers can participate in product demonstrations, hands-on training and experiments, as well as new approaches to develop, optimize, and scale-up processes and simplify technology transfer. The centers will include collaborators from government, academia, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. Customers will have access to sizing and simulation tools and methodologies as well as analytical and modeling support.
The company unveiled its first remodeled center in Tokyo, Japan on June 29, 2016. The network will also include locations in Brazil, China, France, India, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States. Formal relaunch of these centers will take place throughout the remainder of 2016 and 2017 with openings of the new M Lab concept in France, India, China, South Korea, and the US.
