The $10 million expansion, which will be completed and fully operational by February 2021, will add on 3760 square feet of production space.
Metrics Contract Services, a division of Mayne Pharma, announced on Sept. 21, 2020 that it is expanding its novel oral solid dosage manufacturing facility in Greenville, NC.
The $10 million expansion, which will be completed and fully operational by February 2021, will add on 3760 ft2 of production space, which will include a dispensing/flex room, a tablet press room, and a flex room, a company press release said. A Fette FE55 tablet press, a Bosch 720 encapsulator, and a weigh and dispense isolator will also be installed as part of the expansion.
“We recognized that customer’s commercial requirements often demanded increased flexibility within production suites. This expansion will cater for those needs because it creates more spaces where equipment trains can be tailored to the applicable process,” said John Ross, president at Mayne Pharma US and Metrics Contract Services, in the press release. “This is a significant investment for the business and reflects our commitment to increasing our novel oral solid manufacturing capabilities and providing our clients with quality services from initial concept through to global commercialization.”
