MEASURING THE PHYSICAL STABILITY OF SUBUNIT VACCINES

Measuring the stability of adjuvant bound vaccines has long been an awkward and time consuming task. Standard analytical techniques are hindered by low sample throughput, the need for large sample volumes and a requirement for rigorous cleaning between measurements.

In our downloadable application note we investigate how Avacta’s Optim 2 instrument is able to determine changes in the conformational stability of model proteins, both in solution and when adsorbed to an aluminium hydroxide adjuvant. We also review the instruments capabilities for making these measurements in a high throughput manner, using small volume (9ul) samples and removing the need to clean between measurements.
