Interphex2007, New York, NY (Apr. 25)-Interphex will see a new venue in 2008 and be co-located with a biotechnology exhibition. These are some of the changes in store for next year’s installment of the conference and exhibition, including a change in venue.
Biotechnica, currently a large biotechnology exhibition and conference in Europe that is organized by Deutsche Messe (Hanover, Germany, www.messe.de), will be launched in the United States and co-located in 2008 with Interphex. Biotechnica and Interphex will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Mar. 26–28, 2008.
Biotechnica will take place this year in Hanover, Germany on Oct. 9–11. More than 900 exhibitors and 13,000 trade visitors are expected for the event, according to Deutsche Messe. The event features bio-engineering, equipment, bioinformatics, and related services.
Deutsche Messe and Reed Life Sciences, part of Reed Exhibitions (Norwalk, CT, www.reedexpo.com) announced the partnership at a press conference at Interphex.
“By virtue of this cooperation agreement, the Biotechnica product family line will now be represented on three important continents: Europe, North America, and Asia,” said Juergen Fuerstenberg-Brock, director of Deutsche Messe.
“The partnership advances our goal of providing the life sciences industry with the leading event in the world,” says Kevin Richards, group vice-president, Reed Life Sciences. “The new relationship continues the expansion of the Interphex brand and positions the event for further growth worldwide.”
