Event Overview:

Using manual titration to perform quality control of pharmaceutical raw materials, APIs, intermediates and final products invites error into very important steps of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process. With the right method development support, getting a manual titration migrated to an autotitrator is a simple process.

In this webcast, Brett Lane, Senior Chemist of Lonza’s QC laboratory in Rochester, NY will share his experience modifying manual titration methods to optimize results using autotitration. Brett will use two case studies, sodium and zinc pyrithione fungicides and bactericides, to walk through the method development and validation process. Kerri-Ann Blake, Product Manager for Titration at Metrohm, will provide tips for converting manual titrations to modern automatic titrations. She will also share how it’s possible to automate colorimetric titrations and satisfy USP requirements and how to select the best system for the analysis.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to develop and validate titration methods for pharmaceutical products
  • Understand how to adjust parameters to optimize titration methods
  • Learn how convert manual titrations to automatic titrations
  • Learn best practices for maintaining titration instrumentation

Speakers:

Brett Lane, Senior Chemist, Lonza

Dr. Kerri-Ann Blake, Titration Product Manager, Metrohm USA

Time and Date: Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020 at 1pm EDT | 12pm CDT | 10am PDT
