A new brand name for its silicone healthcare solutions represents DuPont’s dedication to the creation of next-generation, innovative silicone solutions.
DuPont announced on Sept. 15, 2020 that it is launching DuPont Liveo, a new brand name for its silicone healthcare solutions.
According to a company press release, the name stems from the terms “live” and “to be alive” and represents DuPont’s dedication to the creation of next-generation, innovative silicone solutions. The products were previously marketed with a Dow Corning or Silastic trade name. Products and packaging material are not changing, and all locations will continue to manufacture the same products, the company reported in the press release.
The Liveo product line features pharma tubing and overmolded assemblies, transdermal and topical drug delivery systems, medical adhesives, silicone elastomers, anti-flatulent active pharmaceutical ingredients, silicone antifoams, coating, fluids, emulsions, and more, the press release said.
“We are making significant investments in both capital and resources to strengthen our strategic capabilities to support our customers’ leadership in key healthcare industry market segments, and we are particularly proud of the contribution that our teams and products have provided to our customers without disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak,” said DuPont Liveo Healthcare Global Business Director Eugenio Toccalino, in the press release.
