CPhI Worldwide 2020 Will Return to Milan, Italy

CPhI Worldwide organizers have revealed that the 2020 edition of the pharma event will return to the Fiera Milano venue in Milan, Italy.

CPhI Worldwide organizers have revealed, in a Jan. 20, 2019 press release, that the 2020 edition of the pharma event will return to the Fiera Milano venue in Milan, Italy between October 13–15.

“It’s been a particularly successful couple of years for CPhI Worldwide, as the world’s largest pharma event we have seen a remarkable growth in numbers,” said Orhan Caglayan, brand director at CPhI Worldwide. “At the 2020 edition, we anticipate 2600+ exhibitors and around 47,000 attendees, so the challenge we have is to find a venue large enough with excellent infrastructure.”

Milan was the location of choice for the event organizers as a result of the regional pharma industry and caliber of the Fiera Milano exhibition center, as was confirmed in the press release.

“Fiera Milano was an ideal choice, combining a comprehensive venue and a strong pharma industry,” added Caglayan. “Italy is Europe’s second pharma market in terms of production, a major export hub, and Milan is the heart of this nation’s industry. As a result, we expect to attract substantial international attendees to one of Europe’s primary pharma manufacturing centers.”

In May 2018, the Fiera Milano Group launched a

strategic plan

for the years 2018–2022, in which it set out its ambitions to enrich the portfolio of hosted exhibitions and congresses and expand on international exhibitions, among other strategies. “Fiera Milano with this announcement is taking another important step towards the delivery of the strategic plan launched in May” commented Fabrizio Curci, CEO of Fiera Milano. “Global international events such as CPhI Worldwide find Milan and its fair a unique platform.”
