The 20th CPHI Pharma Awards opened for entries on March 16, 2023, including three new categories to help reflect the increase in innovation in the industry.

The 2023 CPHI Pharma Awards are now open for entries and are set to celebrate global leaders across 12 categories, including development and manufacturing of devices and drugs, packaging, supply chain, sustainability, and regulatory compliance. Three new awards have been added to the roster for 2023 and include some specific highlights that have occurred over the past few years. For example, the new Start-up award was introduced to honor exhibitors from the start-up zone, and will span projects at proof-of-concept stage to prototype or commercial launch.

To further reflect wider efforts of many companies, the COVID Response category is being renamed the Accelerating Innovation award. The winner will be chosen based on innovations used to improve the impact of global healthcare emergencies or future health emergencies.

Lastly, the new Heart of Pharma award will celebrate the acceleration of social, ethical, and philanthropic activities. This will help to recognize the individuals, companies, or initiatives that have made the most noteworthy contributions to improving patient engagement or centricity, promoted corporate social responsibility and/or improvements to healthcare accessibility and equity.
