All ReFIBE wipes are laser-cut with heatsealed edges and cleanroom laundered to lessen the amount of releasable particles and fibers.

On May 20, 2020, Contec launched ReFIBE, a sustainable polyester wipe for the cleanroom industry.

According to a company press release, the wipes are made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles that are chopped into flake and cleaned, then melted, filtered, and formed into chips. The chips are then melted and made into yarn and knitted into each wipe.

All ReFIBE wipes are laser-cut with heatsealed edges and cleanroom laundered to lessen the amount of releasable particles and fibers, the press release said. The wipes are available in two sizes, 9 in. x 9 in. and 12 in. x 12 in.
