Catalent Opens cGMP Facility in Japan

The company opened a 200,000-square-foot facility in Kakegawa, Japan to serve the needs of domestic and global clinical trial sponsors.

On June 6, 2016, Catalent Pharma Solutions opened a cGMP facility on its campus in Kakegawa, Japan, the company said in a press announcement. The site will serve the needs of both domestic and global clinical trial sponsors with services including secondary packaging and labeling, clinical storage, distribution, and project management and clinical supply management.

Catalent has additional clinical supply facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Singapore, and China, and an extended network of more than 50 audited depots. In the past three years, Catalent has made more than $10 million in capital investments with additional personnel to expand its overall Asia-Pacific footprint.
