Avomeen Analytical Services has named Khanh Courtney, PhD, as its biological chemistry project director, a new position that will expand the company’s large-molecule and protein therapeutics services by partnering with biopharmaceutical clients who are navigating the large-molecule product development life cycle, according to an Aug. 8, 2019 press release.
From 2016 to 2019, Courtney worked as a quality control scientist at BioMarin Pharmaceutical where she provided guidance for biologics testing, troubleshooting, and investigations within the quality control department. Her experience includes knowledge of R&D and analytical method development, validation, implementation, method transfers, and test method optimization for cGMP settings. A necessary part of her new position involves responding to inquiries from FDA, the European Medicines Agency, and Prescription Drug Marketing Act as well as authoring analytical sections in biologics license and marketing authorization applications.
