Avista Pharma Solutions Expands Service Offerings in New England

The contract development and manufacturing organization expanded its analytical chemistry suite and added a new office in Boston, MA.

On Sept. 17, 2018, contract development and manufacturing organization Avista Pharma Solutions announced upgrades to its Agawam, MA, facility, increasing its analytical chemistry footprint while expanding its compendial and raw material testing capabilities. In addition to these upgrades, the company has also opened a new office in the Boston Metro area to provide broader cleanroom services and an expanded courier business.

The new office is an extension of the company’s microbiology, analytical, and cleanroom service offerings at its facility in Agawam. According to Avista Pharma, the most recent analytical service upgrades strengthens its pharmaceutical and medical device capabilities for microbiological and analytical testing. These upgrades include a new 950-ftlaboratory space, which contributes to the expansion of its compendial and raw material testing capabilities.

In addition to the Agawam facility upgrades, Avista Pharma recently opened a new office in the Boston Metro area to support the company’s cleanroom service business. The company’s expanded courier service provides time- sensitive sample pickups from facilities throughout New England, delivering those samples daily to the Agawam facility for testing. Avista Pharma’s cleanroom service team supports cleanroom facilities for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, with services including risk assessments, generation of sampling plans, performance qualifications, International Organization for Standardization room certifications, and routine environmental monitoring.
