AMETEK announced the acquisition of Brookfield Engineering Laboratories, a Massachusetts based manufacturer of viscometers and rheometers.
AMETEK announced on Feb. 8, 2016 that it has completed the acquisition of Brookfield Engineering Laboratories, an international manufacturer of viscometers and rheometers. Brookfield’s products are used primarily for quality control applications in the manufacture of products in a broad range of markets including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, paints, solvents, chemicals, coatings, and packaging.
AMETEK acquired Brookfield Engineering Laboratories for approximately $167 million. The company is headedquartered in Middleboro, MA, but also has locations in Germany, the United Kingdom, China, and India. The company will join AMETEK as a unit of its Instrumentation and Specialty Controls division with the AMETEK Electronic Instruments Group (EIG).
