AAPS Elects New President for 2017

The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) announced the election of Dale Eric Wurster, PhD, FAAPS as president-elect of its board of directors.

On August 8, 2017, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) announced the election of Dale Eric Wurster, PhD, FAAPS as president-elect of the association’s board of directors. Starting in November 2017 at the AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Diego, CA, he will begin a three-year term as president-elect, president and immediate past president. The meeting anticipates an attendance of over 6,500 international pharmaceutical scientists.

“I am heavily invested in the long-term success of AAPS, and I would like very much to be part of the strategizing being undertaken by the leadership team as it attempts to create an even more active and vibrant scientific organization; an organization which will be relevant to academically-diverse individuals well into the 21st century,” said Dr. Wurster in his election bulletin.

In addition to the new president-elect, Reina Bendayan, PharmD, FAAPS from University of Toronto, and Allen C. Templeton, PhD, FAAPS from Merck & Co. were elected as AAPS Members-at-Large.
