The VeriPac UBV Leak Detection System is designed specifically for multi-cavity blister packs.
PTI Inspection Systems introduced a new technology platform to test blister packaging at INTERPHEX 2016.
The VeriPac UBV Leak Detection System is a deterministic non-destructive technology designed specifically for multi-cavity blister packs. The VeriPac UBV uses volumetric imaging under vacuum to detect the presence of leaks. According to PTI, the system includes a three-step process to test a blister pack. These steps include:
Operators then receive a pass/fail result along with a volumetric measurement reading. The location of the defective cavity is also identified. The system can detect defects up to 10 microns in a test cycle of less than 15 seconds. The system can also identify which specific cavity is defective.
