EMVO appointed Andreas Walter general manager effective April 2016.
The European Medicines Verification Organization (EMVO) has appointed Andreas Walter as its general manager. Walter has been the interim director of EMVO since February 2015 and was recently appointed general manager effective April 2016. Walter comes from the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) where he was the project director for the Falsified Medicines Directive.
“We welcome the appointment of Andreas Walter as EMVO General Manager who will help the pharmaceutical industry and supply chain get the system up and running effectively to ensure access to safe medicines for European patients,” said Sonia Ruiz, EMVO president, in a press announcement.
