Bormioli Completes Refurbishment of its Glass Furnace
The refurbishment provides enhanced glass melting power, improved glass distribution, and the production of transparent and amber type I glass bottles to meet the increase in demand for glass vials for vaccines and life-saving medicines.
On June 29, 2020, Bormioli Pharma, an Italian packaging solutions company, announced it has completed the refurbishment of its glass furnace in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy.
According to a company press release, the refurbishment provides enhanced glass melting power, improved glass distribution, and the production of transparent and amber type I glass bottles to meet the increase in demand for glass vials for vaccines and life-saving medicines. It will also lessen the environmental impact of the plant while adhering to new European sustainability protection policies.
